JoeFreshgoods teams up with New Balance for a Valentines Day Collection.
After finishing his "The Corner Store Was My Giftshop" tour, JoeFreshGoods is about to bless us yet again with a new collaboration. Joe has teamed up with New Balance to give us the "No Emotions Are Emotions" collection for valentines day. with two new shoes and a couple of new pieces, this collection is set to drop for All-Star Weekend.
Joe Freshgoods is a designer, DJ, entrepreneur, consultant, and a father from the west side of Chicago. known for his clothing line "Don't Be Mad" which has attracted big names like Chance The Rapper and SZA. The brand got a lot of notice after he dropped a collection called "Thank You Obama". After opening his "Fat Tiger Workshop" in 2014 Joe has been showing the world how creative he is. Joe has been getting offers to collaborate with big brands like Nike, McDonalds, MasterCard, and many more. Even though he has been getting offers from those big brands, Joe decided to work with New Balance for his first major footwear collaboration.
The collection is based off of Joe Freshgoods motto "No Emotions Are Emotions". Joe told Complex that the motto means to let your actions do the talking and the motto is basically his game face. Joe also said “It’s pretty much for people in a world that don't speak loudly about what they're going to do. They just do it. You know what I'm saying? I think sometimes people are known for always having to be loud and vocal to get a point across....". Check out Complex for the full interview.
New Balance allowed Joe to work with the 992 sneaker and the New Balance OMN1S. With the 992 sneaker Joe basically used the vessels of the heart to bring this shoe to life. The shoe is red, burgundy, and pink with a pair of pink laces but they come with a pair of red and blue laces to add more flavor to the shoe. For the New Balance OMN1S they switched it up by covering the shoe with blank emoji faces which fits Kawhi Leonards personality and the motto "No Emotions Are Emotions" across the front.
The shoes are dope but the pieces are pretty dope as well. Joe did his tie die sweats with a couple short sleeve and long sleeve shirts, a sweat suite, shorts, and a jersey that all have his own "Don't Be Mad" touch to it. Joe has a way with using animations and lot of humor and colors into his pieces which make them worth the wild. this collection is set to drop Friday February 14,2020 and he will be having a pop up shop in Chicago at 12pm, follow Joe Freshgoods on instagram for the address which will be announced on Thursday.
